Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalms 107:1

It seems as though the first blog you write should be the most spectacular, wonderful, and awe-inspiring thing anyone has ever read, but at this point I'm not sure where to start. I have never written a blog before, nor does any of the writing that comes from my fingertips normally become available for immediate reading and commenting by others... (I don't even have texting on my phone!) In any case, I just want to thank God for the life He has given me and the love that He shows to all of his creations. I know that everything that happens in my life is because of the plan the Lord has for me, whether it is something I consider good or bad. The same holds true for your life. When you find yourself in times of great ease and comfort, praise the Lord because He has blessed you. When you find yourself in times of fear, poverty, or anguish, praise the Lord because He has given you the opportunity to shine for Him. He is allowing you to show that you can have faith, even in hard times, but more than that, He is giving you the chance to demonstrate to others (by example) that with God, they too can be strengthened. You can serve as a living testimony that if you have Jesus Christ in your life, you can overcome anything. Christians know that nothing can permanently harm us, because Satan and this world will pass away, but God's love for us will never pass away.

If you fail all of your classes
If your boyfriend or girlfriend leaves you
If you lose your job
If you lose your car and your house
If you never had a house or a car to lose
If you are afraid of what will happen to you tomorrow
If someone in your family died
If you think you’re too fat or too skinny
If you hate who you are, or who you are becoming
If you’re sick of life

REMEMBER THIS: The most important thing to remember every day is that God loves you too much to let you suffer forever (that's why He sent His Son to save us!) God will love you no matter what the world thinks of you, because He created you in His image. He knows your potential, your mind, your heart, and your soul. Because God believes in you and loves you so much, He sent His son to make up for anything bad you have ever done in your entire life. The Lord wants you to know that you are capable of anything if only you have faith. And one day, He hopes you will walk beside Him and be full of the joy and peace that He promises to all of His children.
